Embossing folder: Tiny Bubbles (Cuttlebug)

Z - fold Card

For the first time in my life
I have made a Z fold card.
Through this Alphabet Challenge at Beccy's Place
I have discovered new techniques
and got many ideas.
Like nearly all my projects
also this one is a CAS card.

I used:
Creme and blue papers;
Craft Sensations paper for the Poinsettia on the front;
White scrap paper;
Spellbinders Poinsettia and Scalloped Oval dies;
Stamps: "Woven Poinsettia" CM683 H from Artful Stamper
and "Frohe Festtage" from Big Time, Zürich;
Gold Metallic ink;
Gold pen and gold glitter glue;
Rhine stone.

Cuttlebug Mania Challenge: Let It Snow

It is Tuesday today,
and it is also another Cuttlebug Mania day.
This fortnight we want you
to create a card or another project with snow.

Last week I bought something in a local shop
and the paper bag was too nice to throw away.
So I thought I could recycle it, or perhaps better: Upcycle it.

I love the CAS style,
so also for this project I made it rather simple.
I used:
A white paper bag;
Blue paper, glued on the bag to hide the name of the shop;
White scrap papers (card stock);
Snowflake dies: Marianne Design;
Star border punch: Artoz;
A little blue distress ink.
Lots of glitter glue.
The back side of the bag looks similar.

Happy New Year

When we write our Christmas cards, we mostly add
" .....  and a Happy New Year" to the Christmas greeting.
So therefore I made a New Year card today
and hope that I can use it for the letter "Y" at Beccy's Place.

Here is my card:
White double card A6;
White and blue scrap papers;
Heart paper from Craft Sensations;
Stamp: Marein;
Spellbinders Scalloped Oval die;
Embossing folder: Swiss dots (Cuttlebug);
Water colour splatters;
Glitter glue, different colours;
Blue distress ink;
Blue pen.
Tool: Cuttlebug.

X for Xmas

Normally I don't use the word "Xmas".
But over at Beccy's Alphabet Challenge we have come to X,
and this was the most Christmassy word I could find for that letter.
And as I had a die with this word,
I found out I could use it now.
I let the hand drawn twigs, the flower and the banner
get some glitter to give a frosty touch.

Here is my Xmas card:
White double card, A6;
Blue paper;
A little piece of white card stock, scrap paper;
Craft Sensations paper for the Poinsettia;
Marianne Design Xmas die;
Spellbinders Poinsettia dies;
White pen;
Glitter Glue:
Rhine Stone.

Christmas Carols

As a retired music teacher and choir conductor
I like to make cards which show music and singing.
And for Christmas there are so many wonderful songs and carols.
What this group is singing, I don't know.
Perhaps "Silent Night"?
At least this is a quartet, and that word fits for the letter "Q"
at Beccy's Alphabet challenge.

Recipe:
White double card A6;
White card stock;
Blue paper;
Embossing folder "Snowflakes", unknown;
Stamp: Marianne Design;
Doily Circle die: Lifestyle;

Julekort Med Julekurv

The last weekend I was absent and could not make a single card.
First today I could sit down in my craft room again
and make a Christmas card.
In the "Alphabet Challenge" over at Beccy's place
I have come to "J".
And because "Christmas" is "Jul" in the Scandinavian languages,
I made a "Julekort" - a Christmas card.

I used:
Double card A6, creme;
Marbled cream paper for the mat;
Red and green scrap papers;
Paper: Christmas greetings in different languages,
(I don't remember from whom it is);

Marianne Design "Jeans" paper for the mat;

WeR Memory Keepers Nesting Card die,

Small Gift or Candy Bags

I made some small bags or envelopes for tiny surprises.
The papers are different square designer papers
folded to envelopes.
Each of them has got a winter or Christmas image,
and inside there is place to write a greeting
and for a little surprise.
I have put some chocolates into some of them.
I think this might also be an idea for an advent calendar.

Images used:
Snowman stamps: Craft Sensations;
Santa digis: Beccy;
Poinsettia and scalloped oval dies: Spellbinders.
Tool for die cutting: Cuttlebug.
3D foam pads. Rhine stone.

Blue Santa Skating

I really do like this blue Santa from Beccy.
As a child I never liked Santa Claus.
He did not belong to my Christmas celebration.
But this one looks so friendly,
so I have accepted him as a friend. 😏

For my card I used:
White double card A6,
Marbled paper for the mat;
Corner punch: EK Success;
Image: Skating Santa, Beccy;
Oval die: Spellbinders;
Three "gold" stars, stickers;
Blue distress ink and blue pen.

The Holy Family, CAS Christmas Card

For me the story about the birth of Jesus Christ
is the real Christmas story
and "The Reason for the Season".
And therefor I love this image from Beccy so very much.
I have already made many cards with it,
and I think it will be
one of my favourite Christmas images for years.

For this card I used:
White double card, A6;
Blue paper for the mat;
"Gold" scrap paper for the star;
Image: From "The Nativity Set", Beccy;
Embossing folder: Cuttlebug;
Star punch: Heyda;

I think the reindeer on this card is jumping over a tiny little stream,
then its jump does not seem to be very high.
Next time I'll give it some more air under it's legs.

Dark blue double card, A6;
White card stock;
Memory Box "Reindeer Circle" die;
Lifetime Doily die;

Gute Besserung

Also, dachte ich,

Doppelkarte, A6, weiss;
Chamois Papier;
Restepapier: Blau, weiss, grün und rot;
Stanz-Schablonen:
Noten: Memory Box,
Textplatte: Unbekannt,
Blätter: Cottage Cutz Ivy.
Blume: EK Success und Atelier Terziev Punches.
Text am Computer geschrieben.
Distress Ink, Glasperlen und Filzstift.

Christmas Basket II

I made another card
with the Norwegian or Scandinavian Christmas basket.
This card is very simple.
This basket is bigger than the first I made today.
It is double, and inside the basked
I have placed a little chocolate heart
like that one on the second picture.
I had glue only on the back side of the basket,
so that it clings to the card.

I used:
Double card A6, creme,
Creme paper for the mat;
Green and red scrap papers;
Embossing folder unknown,
Christmas basket die: Marianne Design.
For the edges: Brown distress ink and red pen.

Card With A Traditional Scandinavian Christmas Basket

As I was a girl back home in Norway,
we every year used to make Christmas baskets
for our Christmas tree.
They were made of glossy paper in different colours.
They were cut with the scissors.
For us children this tradition was very important.
Sometimes we used to hide small surprises inside.
Also as teacher I made such baskets with my pupils.
Today I have made a little basket for this card.
I also put some small hearts around it.
Hearts also belong to the Norwegian Christmas tradition.

I used:
Double card A6, creme;
Creme paper for the mat,
Red and green scrap papers;
Embossing folder: Snowflakes (unknown),
Christmas basket die: Marianne Design;
Border punch: Martha Stewart.
For the edges: Brown distress ink an red pen.
Tool: Cuttlebug.

Embossing folder: Cuttlebug;
Dies: Spellbinders Poinsettia dies;

There is always still so much to do
before the Christmas bells are ringing.

Embossing

Today I made a quite easy, quick Christmas card,
only using white card stock,
 an Embossing folder (Darice),
3 Rhines Stones,
blue and purple pens.
I had to make the card in a hurry to try
to be among the next winners at Beccy's Place.
But I think I was too late ;)
