Christmas Card: Three Gingerbread Men

In Scandinavia one of the well known children's songs
at Christmas time
is the Swedish song about the three gingerbread men
who are "coming from Gingerbread-land".
As I was a teacher in Norway,
 we song the Norwegian translation.
That song inspired me to this card
where I used a digital stamp from Beccy.
The text on the tag is the beginning of the song.

Recipe:
White card stock.
Red paper.
The image from Beccy
is coloured with water colour pencils and water brush.
My experience is
that gingerbread cookies
not always get an equal colour after baking,
so also these ones.
The three gingerbread men were fussy cut.

Embossing folder "Snowflakes" (unbranded)
Tag die: Marianne Design.
Brown and green pens for the faux stitches.

The inside of the card
tells why the gingerbread men are coming:
".... to wish you a merry Christmas".

Also here I used the red paper.

Spellbinders Oval Circle.
MS Heart Border punch.
Ek Success corner punch.
Snowflake stamp: Heindesign.
Silver Metallic ink for the stamp
and silver pen for the faux stitches and the tiny snowflakes.

(Day 8. G = Gingerbread)

Christmas Gift Tag Tulip

Also today I use this image "Spring Tulip"for a Christmas project.
As I told yesterday,
red tulips are in Norway a well known Christmas symbol.
Today I made a gift tag
and wrote the Norwegian Christmas greeting "God Jul" on it.
Image: Beccy.
Corner punch: EK Success.
Red pen.

(Day 8: G = Gift Tag)

CAS Christmas Card Tulip

Today I use a spring flower stamp for my Christmas card.
For two reasons:
1: Over at Beccy's Challenges there was this challenge
some days ago: "Non Holiday Stamps".
2: As I was a young girl at home in Norway,
my mother used to by a tulip bulb every December,
so that the "Christmas red" tulip would be opened
on Christmas Eve.
For me very good memories.
The digital stamp is from Beccy: Tulip.
I fussy cut it.
The frame is an embossing folder from Tim Holtz.
There is no sentiment on the card.
My Norwegian friends will understand the greeting.

(Day 10: Non Holiday Stamps)
