In Scandinavia one of the well known children's songs
at Christmas time
is the Swedish song about the three gingerbread men
who are "coming from Gingerbread-land".
As I was a teacher in Norway,
 we song the Norwegian translation.
That song inspired me to this card
where I used a digital stamp from Beccy.
The text on the tag is the beginning of the song.
My experience is that gingerbread cookies
not always get an equal colour after baking,
so also these ones.
Recipe:
White card stock.
Red paper.
Red paper.
The image from Beccy
is coloured with water colour pencils and water brush. My experience is that gingerbread cookies

so also these ones.
The three gingerbread men were fussy cut.
Embossing folder "Snowflakes" (unbranded)
Tag die: Marianne Design.
Brown and green pens for the faux stitches.
The inside of the card
tells why the gingerbread men are coming:
".... to wish you a merry Christmas".
Also here I used the red paper.
Spellbinders Oval Circle.
MS Heart Border punch.
Ek Success corner punch.
Snowflake stamp: Heindesign.
Silver Metallic ink for the stamp
and silver pen for the faux stitches and the tiny snowflakes.

AntwortenLöschenWhat fabulous inspiration for a card Liv, thanks for sharing the story. I like how you've coloured these gingerbread men, they really do look as though they're fresh out of the oven! The red card stock is fabulous and looks so festive on your creation. Well done.
