Christmas Card With Scandinavian Christmas Baskets

As I was a little girl home in Norway, and also as I was a teacher there, we every Advent used to make the traditional Christmas baskets for the tree. Here on this card they are in a simpler form. The basket die is from Marianne Design. Circle die: Spellbinders. Corner punch: EK Success. Text written on computer.

The traditional way is to cut the paper with the scissors. For small fingers it was always difficult to get the parts together.

Patterned paper: Craft Sensations. Red and yellow and creme papers. Gold glitter.

  1. Those baskets look fun to make. I bet it is so much easier with a die as you would need to be really accurate with scissors! I like the yellow and burgundy combination.

  2. These are lovely Liv, great colour combination. I've just realised they are the first traditional decorations I've seen this year, usually there are quite a few of these beautiful woven baskets but I don't think anyone else created them this time. Thank you for sharing!
    Cheers,
