Iris Tag

This week I bought a new image set from Beccy. Today I made a tag with one of the Iris flowers.

The tag goes into my "upcycling program". It was cut from a blue biskuit package, so I had to cut another tag from a blue paper to hide the text on the package.

Tag die: Spellbinders. Brown distress ink, blue pen, 5 half pearls.

 Image and sentiment: Beccy.

For this month's Rudolph Days card I used:

EK Success corner punch. Green pen for the faux stitches, silver glitter around the sentiment.

Upcycled Tags

I continue my upcycling. These tags are thought for journals with religious images and sentiments. The tags are cut from food boxes. I covered the printed side of the cardstock with white acrylic and glued the textpapers on that side. On the back side there is place for writing.

I used a marbled paper from Sigel for the quotes. Pink cardstock for the lace.
On two of the tags I made a pattern with stencils. Flower image on the tag in the middle: Beccy.

Tag die: Spellbinders. Lace border punch: Martha Stewart.

Rhine stones, half pearls, distress ink, pen.
The text is from the Bible. (Psalm 23 and Lamentation 3)

Journal

For the first time in my life I have made a journal. Or: I have started making one. There are still enough place for decorating and so on. This journal I will keep for myself to write in, and I have called it "Blessings". There are so many reasons for thanks. I feel blessed all the time! 💜

The journal was made out of one sheet of patterned card stock from Tilda. This is a paper I have had in my stuff for years. The tags are mostly upcycled and covered with napkins. Tag dies: Spellbinders. The quotes are all telling about God's love.

I made 5 signatures, one small one and 4 "normal" for this journal size. Only a few stamps and stenciling are decorating some of the pages.

Well, this is my first try. I think I am going to make more journals later on.

On the front I used Spellbinders: Scalloped Oval and Circle (for the button), Studio Light: Butterfly

Punches: Martha Stewart Border, EK Success Flower.

The stripe of patterned paper on the pocket is a scrap from a "ABMTTC" paper.

Psalm 23: The Lord is my shepherd

Napkins on two of the tags.

Easter Card II

This Easter or spring card I wanted to keep rather simple, without any sentiment or embellishment. With this the patterned paper there is enough around the image.

I used:
White card stock. Design paper: A Bit More Time To Craft.
Image found on internet.
Spellbinders Scalloped Oval die. EK Success corner punch.
Brown distress ink.

Easter Card

Some weeks ago I bought these crocus dies. Today I used them for the first time. I thought the crocuses would look good on an Easter card, so I made one for a friend of mine in Norway. On the left inside of the card I made a little pocket for a tag and wrote a well known children's Easter song, that also is good to read and to sing for adults. It says:

"The cross is empty! The tomb is empty! Jesus arose and he lives!"

Yes! This is Easter!

For the card I used:
White card stock, scraps of purple, cream, yellow and green card stock.

Patterned paper: ABMTTC.

Dies:
Marianne Design:
Crocus; Cottage Cutz: Easter Cross; Papirdesign: Label, Spellbinders: Tag.
I also used: Brown Distress Ink, Rhine stones, Glitter, Yellow cotton yarn for the tag.
For the pocket I used the same patterned paper as on the front of the card. On the tag (upcycled) I glued a piece of an Easter napkin.

A Little Notebook With Butterflies

I am fascinated by using junk for new projects. And today I have learnt that the right word for it is "upcycling". When I write it, my computer tells me: that word doesn't exist. It will have me to write "recycling". So we are going to have some fights about that word, my computer and I, also in future. I will continue my upcycling.

For this little notebook I used a toilet roll for the outside and some coloured papers / patterned paper (brand: Sigel) for the sheets. The outside is decorated with a butterfly napkin. On some of the pages I stenciled a tiny butterfly. And a butterfly made by a die form Studio Light is hanging on the yarn. To keep the notebook closed, I fastened a blue rubber band to the front.
